Lyon College, Batesville, Arkansas
Assistance Offered Lyon College will accept up to 30 students from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast area affected by Hurricane Katrina. Admission requirements include that the student is in good standing with their current institution and that they are a good fit for Lyon College. The college will do everything it can to help the students adjust and recover from the disaster by offering counseling and other support services

Tuition Tuition is $6,738 per semester. However, the college will offer financial aid on a case-by-case basis.
Housing Space is available in both men's and women's residence halls for approximately 30 students. $3,042 per semester

NorthWest Arkansas Community College, Bentonville, Arkansas
Assistance Offered 1. Online freshmen and sophomore transfer classes begin October 10.All courses will end on or before January 6. Transcript for courses will be forwarded to the student's home institution.

Tuition The 8-week accelerated semester that begins Oct. 10 is being funded by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (www.sloan.org). NWACC will forgo tuition and fees to help students at institutions disrupted by Katrina.

Enrollment Deadline An online catalog of courses will be made available Thursday, Sept. 15, for students to register and search for online courses. NWACC will begin accepting registrations Monday, Sept. 19. Registration ends October 10.
