| Galen University / University of Indianapolis Programs in Belize accepting displaced students |
|
| Recognizing that students are facing a difficult time financially, the University has decided to offer all affected students financial assistance in the form of a 50% tuition grant. Thus for the Fall 2005 semester displaced students will pay only US $1500 in tuition and US $900 in fees for full-time enrolment (15 credits) in the University of Indianapolis programs in Belize. Our administrative and student affairs team are ready to help students make the transition to Belize for Fall Semester, secure affordable housing, health insurance etc. US students do not need an entry visa for Belize and our administrative staff will get them a one semester student visa. |
| The University maintains an updated list of approved rooms, apartments and houses for rent, and based on your needs the University provides students with assistance to find suitable housing. There is a variety of housing in the area around Galen University. Housing costs vary according to size and location. You can expect to pay about $200 USD per month for a small house in San Ignacio (minimal furnishings, utilities extra). If you’d like a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment overlooking the Mopan River, you’ll likely pay $400 USD per month. For information on housing in Belize, contact studentaffairs@galen.edu.bz. |
