| The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Katrina Student Relief Fund will provide assistance for up to 300 students displaced by Hurricane Katrina who wish to enroll at any of our 32 state colleges and universities, including online programs offered through www.minnesotaonline.org. Monetary assistance is available for tuition, fees, books, equipment, housing and other education-related expenses. |

| The 32 Minnesota State Colleges and State Universities can accommodate at least 300 students whose college educations were disrupted by Hurricane Katrina. College and university officials will work individually with students to help them enroll and obtain assistance such as tuition support or deferrals, financial aid, scholarships and assistance with other expenses. In addition to openings available at college campuses, the system offers more than 1,000 online course sections and/or programs through Minnesota Online. |

| The Art Institutes will make available both on-campus and online courses that might be able to permit dislocated students to progress in their academic careers during this semester of disruption. Students at a university forced to close by Hurricane Katrina may register at any of The Art Institutes 31 locations across the nation for courses, on a space-available basis, for the fall semester. The Art Institutes is a group of 31educational institutions located throughout North America. Offering a broad range of programs including: audio production, culinary arts, culinary management, fashion design, fashion marketing, graphic design, industrial design technology, interior design, media arts & animation, multimedia & Web design, photography, restaurant management and video production. Not all programs are offered at all schools. |

If dislocated students have not yet paid their tuition at their home institution, they will be assessed the lesser of the current published tuition and fees at the home institution, or The Art Institutes’ published tuition and fees for the fall semester, as determined by the school president. |

| As a distance learning organization, Walden can offer a wide array of online graduate and undergraduate courses to visiting students, and can transfer financial aid from home institution. See website for programs. No limit to the number of that we can accommodate. Walden can also offer part-time faculty positions to faculty from affected institutions interested in teaching at a distance in education, management, psychology, public health, public policy, nursing, social work, and engineering. See website for e-hiring information. All courses are online, so computer access is essential. |
