Crown College offers 99% of it's courses live online in a synchronous learning environment. Attendance is take. Students and instructors communicate as if they were in a residential classroom. A 56k connections or better is required along with a computer. Currently there are students from all 50 States in attendance. A person's live, real-time, instructor-led education will not be affected if they have access to the internet, no matter where they move. |

| Eastern Washington University welcomes undergraduate and graduate students who are registered at affected institutions in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. We will strive to accommodate them as visiting students in a comparable program at Eastern and to coordinate admissions, enrollment, financial aid and housing for as smooth a transition as possible. We will address long-term enrollment needs on an individual basis as the quarter proceeds. |

| We will provide students displaced by the storm and its horrible aftermath with immediate admission to Saint Martin’s, financial aid, academic tutoring, and housing on or near our campus for one semester or, should it prove necessary, for the full academic year. Admissions requirements are being waved. We're noted for our education, civil and mechanical engineering and biology/pre-health programs. Offer is also open to community college students working toward associate's degrees and international students. |

| Tuition is $9,825 per semester. We will do everything we can to put together generous financial aid packages. The South Puget Sound community is eager to help, and we've received many calls offering assistance to students. |
| Housing is available on campus, and we encourage living on campus to create a sense of belonging. Several individuals from the area also have offered students housing and meals at no cost to the students. Starts at $3,100 per semester. We will try to do everything possible to meet this need with financial aid. |

| SPU is open to accept displaced college students from the areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. Students will be considered on a case-by-case basis, as space is available. To apply for enrollment at SPU complete the Visiting Student Enrollment Form (a downloadable .pdf form). SPU will work with each individual to assist them in enrolling in transferable coursework that advances them toward their academic goals. In some cases, classes needed may be closed, and alternatives will be proposed. |

| Seattle Pacific University will waive tuition for eligible students enrolled in colleges and universities affected by Hurricane Katrina. Students eligible for this waiver will have paid tuition, fees, and other applicable charges at their home institution or will make arrangements to pay tuition, fees, and other applicable charges to their home institution. |

| The Art Institutes will make available both on-campus and online courses that might be able to permit dislocated students to progress in their academic careers during this semester of disruption. Students at a university forced to close by Hurricane Katrina may register at any of The Art Institutes 31 locations across the nation for courses, on a space-available basis, for the fall semester. The Art Institutes is a group of 31educational institutions located throughout North America. Offering a broad range of programs including: audio production, culinary arts, culinary management, fashion design, fashion marketing, graphic design, industrial design technology, interior design, media arts & animation, multimedia & Web design, photography, restaurant management and video production. Not all programs are offered at all schools. |

| Students returned to campus on August 29. Americans on the Gulf Coast are dealing with an unimaginable set of circumstances. We have special concern, for those students who are very directly affected by this tragedy, and we have been engaged in identifying and reaching out to them. Additionally, The Associated Students of the University of Puget Sound (ASUPS), and other student clubs and organizations are holding fundraising events on campus, as well as recruiting volunteers to help local Red Cross chapters Another group of students is coordinating volunteer projects to coincide with their spring break. Commenting on the tragedy, Ronald Thomas, President of the University of Puget Sound said, “The response of so many on our campus to this catastrophic event reminds me again of the depth of care and concern exhibited by our Puget Sound community when help is needed.” |

| Currently, we are considering requests from affected students and working with affiliated organizations like the Independent Colleges of Washington and the American Council on Education to respond to the needs of others who may have been displaced from affected institutions in the New Orleans area. | The UW will assist displaced students from institutions of higher educations that are closed due to Hurricane Katrina. Up to 200 students can be temporarily enrolled and accommodated at the Seattle Campus. |
