Qualification as an NCSECU Member
Before you register for these credit unions, you first need to know if you have the requirements. Here are the requirements to be a North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union.
- An employee from North Carolina
- Be an employee of the public boards of education
- A federal employee working in North Carolina
- A member of North Carolina National Guard
- Civil Defense, Health, Mental Health, Social Services county employee
- Be a member of beneficiary associations in North Carolina
- A family member of a SECU member
- A person sharing a single economic unit with a SECU member
- Annuitants or persons retired from the above organizations and are eligible for a pension.
- Unmarried spouses of a person who died while eligible to become a member.
If you have any of the above qualifications, you can register and become an NCSECU member. To open a share account, you need to deposit a minimum of $25. For an individual of twelve years and below need to deposit $5 to open an account with SECU.

NCSECU Registration Process
Once you have met all the requirements, you can begin registration. It may seem like a hard task. But that is not the case. You need to do the following when opening an account for the first time with SECU.

These are things that you require during registration.
- 3-digit voice response number
- ATM/Debit card number
To sign up as a new SECU member, you need to visit NCSECU. Then click on Enroll Now.
After that, a new tab will open where you need to enter your 16-digit ATM/debit card number and your 3-digit voice response number. Then tick that you have read and accepted the terms listed before you click on continue.
Once you complete the enrollment process, this message will show on your screen, “Congratulations! Here you have completed the sign-up or enrollment process.
You will then have to create your username and password that will enable you to log in to your new SECU account. Once done, you will click Continue.
On the next page, there are twenty-two security questions, but you only need to answer six questions. Click Submit when done, explaining the security questions.

How to Log In to NCSECU?

How to Log in for PC Users?

NCSECU Forgot Password Reset Guide
It has come to my attention that most SECU users find it hard to secure their passwords. Hence, creating a challenge when they want to log in to their accounts again. If you are encountering this problem, here is a way to reset your password.
On the official NCSECU website on the Member Access page, you can reset your password.
Click on Forgotten Password.
To reset your password, you must have completed answering the security questions. If you did that, you need to enter your user id and social security number.
Then click Continue.
For some members, they might have registered using a one-time passcode. If so, you need to have your phone near you because the code will be sent to your mobile. Enter the sent passcode and reset your password.
However, if you used basic security questions for registration, you need to answer two security questions for you to reset your password. When you are done answering your items you need to enter your new password and then re-enter it before you click Continue.
When you use these methods, you will reset your password and access your account.
